Rafi Cristobal
Mr. Rafi Cristobal is the Founder & CEO of Philanthropy for Sustainable Education Asia, a philanthropic organization to support Kindergarten to Grade 12 (K-12) schools to develop their capacity and capability on sustainable education and operation. Rafi aims to explore and strengthen the partnership model with public and private sector for sustainability and climate fundings for schools and children in both developed and developing countries in Asia by focusing on 4 areas:
- Providing strategic advice to philanthropic foundations and corporations to channel fundings and support to K-12 school sector in this sustainability transformation, and cultivating an ecosystem of partners across all sectors
- Designing, launching, and implementing philanthropic programs, grants and funds for schools in Hong Kong, The Philippines, Thailand and other Asian nations
- Impact investing in companies and social enterprises which show track records and commitment in supporting K-12 schools in sustainable education/operation
- Advocating for research and government policy to prioritise sustainable and climate education for schools
While embarking on this new venture, Mr. Cristobal has been an educator for children and youth for over 18 years. He advocates that education plays a crucial and strategic role among the long-term solutions to address climate change and sustainability challenges.
