Dr. Yufeng Wan

Dr. Yufeng Wan is a Partner & Head of Impact Investing at Templewater (an HK-headquartered alternative asset manager) and one of the founding members. Dr. Wan is also a Director of Bravo Transport, the largest bus operator on HK island, and Wisdom Motor, a zero-emission commercial vehicle designer and manufacturer in China. He is responsible for overall business development targeting hydrogen and decarbonization opportunities for the group and its portfolio companies. Templewater manages one of Asia’s first SFDR Article 8 decarbonization-focused investment fund with a high conviction that hydrogen is a critical solution in global decarbonization initiatives and is spearheading the efforts in Hong Kong and the Asia Pacific region. Prior to joining Templewater, Dr. Wan had 16 years of experience across various industries including 12 years in banking and 4 years in manufacturing. Dr. Wan holds a Doctorate Degree in Engineering at the University of Sheffield and a BEng in Automatic Control from the South China University of Technology.

Sustainability Tips from Dr. Yufeng WAN:

1. Reducing Energy Consumption: One of my primary efforts in living more sustainably in 2023 is through reducing my energy consumption. I've switched to using energy-efficient appliances at home, and I'm trying to make a conscious effort to unplug devices when they're not in use. Additionally, I've transitioned to green energy providers wherever possible.
2. Sustainable Transportation: I've made significant changes in my transportation habits. I've been prioritizing public transportation for local travel. For longer distances, I've been using an electric vehicle, which has a much lower carbon footprint than conventional gasoline-powered cars.
3. Mindful Consumption: I've been focusing on reducing waste and buying less but better.
