Dr. Ho Kam Piu

Dr Ho Kam Piu is currently the Chief Technology Officer & Co-founder of GRST. He studied for a Doctor of Philosophy in Chemistry at The Hong Kong Polytechnic University and a postdoctoral researcher at McGill University.

Since then, he and his partner (Mr. Justin Hung) established GRST, a green technology company to develop commercially viable water-based technology for producing and recycling lithium-ion batteries at lower cost with lower emissions.

As the head of the technical team, Dr. Ho is responsible for GRST’s technology strategy and plays a key role in leading its R&D team to develop innovative technology that brings a positive impact to environments and society. GRST, with its headquarters in Hong Kong, and R&D and production facilities in Mainland China, has established a worldwide patent portfolio with over 50 sets of patents and over 235 granted patents. That helps vertical integration of the entire battery value chain, from production to recycling. The company has earned numerous awards and accolades from respected bodies such as Deloitte (Hong Kong), the Environmental Campaign Committee (Hong Kong), the International Exhibition of Inventions Geneva (Switzerland), and Bluetech Clean Air Alliance (China).
